Gone Girl

Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn Wow, that ending. I enjoyed this book the whole way through but I am so angry at the ending! Although, I'm sure that's completely the point. Overall, a great read. I loved how it really makes you think about the ...glamorization?...of crime in America lately. Admittedly, I am a fan of those 48-hours and Dateline type shows, though I can't stand Nancy Grace! But in those situations public perception means so much when it should really mean nothing. I also loved the theme in the novel of facades. How you can paint any picture you want the world to see...whether it be how your parents see your marriage and even so far as the facade we present to the one person closer than any one else. Does anyone just have one authentic self that they're showing the world?
